We Are Made for So Much More

January 2, 2022 - New Year

Gen 1 & 2; Ps 139; Is 43:7; 60:21; Eph 2:10; 4:24 — We are made for so much more. We are God’s children, kingdom people called and sent into this world to be kingdom builders erecting signs of God’s kingdom by living the kingdom life. We proclaim the gospel inviting people to come and see Jesus Christ, the only true Lord of the world, and through Him to enter the kingdom.

This is sermon was adapted from and developed based on chapter 1 of the book, Invention: Break Free from the Culture Hell-Bent on Holding You Back by Justin Camp.

We Are Ambassadors of Christ, Servants of God

February 21, 2021

2 Corinthians 5:9-6:10 — We are ambassadors of Christ and servants of God. The fear of the Lord and the love of Christ compels us to proclaim the message of reconciliation — Be reconciled with God, now, today! We are not living and serving according to the world’s expectations and standards. We show, prove that we are servants and ambassadors by living for the Lord and others, by putting no stumbling blocks in anyone’s way, and persevering in living the kingdom life through hard work, suffering, difficulties, and persecution by the power of God in the Holy Spirit.

This sermon is part of our sermon series for the Lent season, 2021.

Rejoice When Suffering

FEBRUARY 3 2019

When we suffer because we are persecuted for Jesus’ sake we should rejoice because we are blessed—the Kingdom of heaven is ours and we know our faith is real. We rejoice by revering Jesus Christ as Lord and following his example. We rejoice by praying, loving and serving.

Part of our sermon series—”Be Courageous! Living as God’s People in God’s World.” This series is based on and follows the outline of Christopher J.H. Wright’s book,  The Mission of God's People : A Biblical Theology of the Church's Mission, (Grand Rapids, Mich.: Zondervan, 2010).
